what we collect
- Information you give us — name, email and message details when you download the Welcome Pack, send an enquiry (tours, packages, contact form) or use the trip builder. Forms are processed by Web3Forms and delivered to our inbox.
- Usage data — if analytics are enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, outbound clicks). No advertising identifiers, no cross-site profiles built by us.
- Local storage — small values saved in your own browser (e.g. Welcome Pack unlock, trip-builder draft). These never leave your device.
how we use it
- To answer your enquiry, send your quote, or deliver the guides you asked for.
- To send occasional backpacker tips if you opted in — every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click ends it.
- To improve the site using aggregate statistics.
what we never do
- Sell or rent your personal information.
- Spam you, or add you to lists you didn't ask for.
third parties
Bookings and payments are handled by the relevant provider (e.g. Rezdy for tours, Stripe for package payments) under their own privacy policies. Affiliate partners we link to (see our disclosure) receive no personal data from us — only a standard referral parameter.
your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles (and GDPR where applicable) you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we'll action it promptly.
